Passenger transportation by air | Pakistan

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Pakistan in 2021 amounted to 4 930 662, which is 32.85% more than in 2020, when it was  3 711 457 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 3.69 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1972, with a value of 625 200 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Pakistan was in 2016, when it reached 9 628 354 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
