Passenger transportation by air | Philippines – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Philippines in 2021 amounted to 6 886 922, which is 35.11% less than in 2020, when it was  10 613 531 passengers. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 2.91 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1971, with a value of 2 070 900 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Philippines was in 2019, when it reached 47 776 892 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
