The crude oil production in Papua New Guinea in 2024 reached 32 279 barrels per day, which is 0.652% more than in 2023, when production volume was 32 070 b/d. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), since 1980, the annual production volume of oil (crude oil, NGPL, and other liquids) has not changed. The minimum of Papua New Guinea was recorded in 1990, with a value of 0 barrels daily. The maximum crude oil poduction was in 1994, when it reached 133 504 b/d.
