Suicide mortality rate | Romania

Suicide mortality rate in Romania amounted to 9.62 per 100,000 population in 2021, which is 1.23% less than in 2020, when it was  9.74. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Since 2000, for the whole period of WHO statistics, this indicator has decreased in 1.33 times. The highest number of suicide deaths was in 2002, when it reached 14.10 per 100,000 population. The minimum of Romania was recorded in 2019, with a value of 9.17 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
