Overview
The nickel production of Russian Federation in 2023 amounted to 256 320 tonnes, which is 4.35% less than in 2022, when it was 267 980 tonnes. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the British Geological Survey statistics, since 1992, the annual volume of nickel production has increased in 1.20 times. The minimum was recorded in 1993, with a value of 209 000 tonnes. The maximum mining volume of nickel in Russian Federation was in 2004, when it reached 315 000 tonnes.
