Overview
The solar energy consumption in Russian Federation in 2024 reached 0.010525 EJ, which is 10.96% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.009486 EJ. It has been growing in this country for already 13 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2011, the consumption volume of solar primary energy has increased in 2 436.42 times. The lowest level of consumption in Russian Federation was recorded in 2011, with a value of 0.000004 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from solar power plants was in 2024, when it reached 0.010525 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
