Air transport registered carrier departures | Somalia – yearly data, chart and table

Number of civil aircraft departures in Somalia in 2019 amounted to 1 060, which is 6.53% more than in 2018, when it was  995. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, this indicator has decreased in 1.79 times. The lowest number of air transport departures was recorded in 2017, with a value of 98. The maximum in Somalia was in 2013, when it reached 3 540 departures.
The air transport data represent the total (international and domestic) scheduled traffic carried by the air carriers registered in a country. For statistical uses, departures are equal to the number of landings made or flight stages flown. A flight stage is the operation of an aircraft from take-off to its next landing. A flight stage is classified as either international or domestic. International flight stage is one or both terminals in the territory of a State, other than the State in which the air carrier has its principal place of business.
