Number of deaths caused by diabetes (20-79 years age group) in Serbia in 2024 amounted to 5 213, which is 67.23% less than in 2021, when it was 15 908. Since 2019, for the whole period of International Diabetes Federation statistics, the mortality due to diabetes in Serbia has decreased in 1.76 times. The highest rate was in 2021, when it reached 15 908 diabetes related deaths.
