Overview
Sales of new vehicles in Sweden in 2024 amounted to 314 485, which is 8% less than in 2023, when it was 341 835 vehicles. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers statistics, since 2005, the annual volume of new vehicles sales has decreased in 1.01 times. The lowest sales were recorded in 2009, with a value of 247 513 number. The maximum was in 2017, when 442 836 cars of all types were sold in Sweden.
