The international outbound tourism expenditure of Turks & Caicos Islands in 1998 amounted to 194.00 million USD, which is 17.45% less than in 1997, when it was  235.00 million USD. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 1.27 times. The lowest annual international outbound tourism expenditure recorded in 1995, when it was 153.00 million USD. The maximum value was in 1997, when the expenditure of outbound tourists from Turks & Caicos Islands reached 235.00 million USD.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
