Overview
Proportion of obese people (BMI of 30 kg/m² or higher) in Thailand in 2022 amounted to 15.38% of the adult population (18 years and over). In 2021, the value was 14.75%. It has been growing in this country for already 32 years in a row. Since 1990, for the whole period of WHO statistics, the prevalence of obesity among adults in Thailand has increased in 4.51 times. The highest obesity rate in the adult population was in 2022, when it reached 15.38%. The minimum was recorded in 1990, with a value of 3.41% of total adult population of Thailand.
