Passenger transportation by air | Turkmenistan – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Turkmenistan in 2021 amounted to 648 370, which is 40.22% less than in 2020, when it was  1 084 543 passengers. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1993, the volume of air transport passengers has decreased in 1.15 times. The lowest number was recorded in 2012, with a value of 147 500 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Turkmenistan was in 2018, when it reached 2 457 474 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
