Overview
Total fruit exports of Turkey in 2023 amounted to 4 279 564 tonnes, which is 4.09% less than in 2022, when it was 4 461 858 tonnes. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the FAOSTAT data, since 1961, the volume of annual fruit exports has increased in 34.13 times. The minimum trade exports of fruits recorded in 1964, with a value of 113 869 tonnes. The maximum of Turkey was in 2021, when it reached 4 539 573 metric tons.

Data sources and collection In general, figures have been supplied by governments through magnetic tapes, national publications and FAO questionnaires. In particular, for the European Union member countries, with the exception of Spain, data obtained from EUROSTAT have been used. In addition, maximum use has been made of the magnetic tapes provided by the United Nations Statistics Division.
To make the coverage of this data collection as complete as possible, official trade data have sometimes been supplemented with data from unofficial sources. Use has also been made of trade information supplied by other national or international agencies or organizations.
