Overview
Crude steel production of Turkey in 2024 amounted to 36 900 000 tons, which is 9.45% more than in 2023, when it was 33 713 681 tons. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the World Steel Association data, since 1970, the volume of steel production has increased in 28.13 times. The minimum production of crude steel was recorded in 1971, with a value of 1 122 000 tons. The maximum in Turkey was in 2021, when it reached 40 360 045 tons.
