Overview
The total industry (including construction) value added of Uzbekistan in 2024 amounted to 36 570.18 million USD, which is 14.84% more than in 2023, when it was 31 844.03 million USD. It has been growing in this country for already 4 years in a row. Over the entire data period, since 1987, this indicator has increased in 12.14 times. The lowest value added in industry was recorded in 2002, when it was 1 878.34 million USD. The maximum value of Uzbekistan was in 2024, when it reached 36 570.18 million USD. Industry corresponds to ISIC (Rev.4) divisions 05-43. It is comprised of mining, manufacturing, construction, electricity, water, and gas industries. Value added is the contribution to the economy by a producer or an industry or an institutional sector, which is estimated by the total value of output produced and deducting the total value of intermediate consumption of goods and services used to produce that output.

About indicator
Industry (including construction) corresponds to ISIC divisions 05-43 and includes manufacturing (ISIC divisions 10-33). It comprises value added in mining, manufacturing (also reported as a separate subgroup), construction, electricity, water, and gas. Value added is the net output of a sector after adding up all outputs and subtracting intermediate inputs. It is calculated without making deductions for depreciation of fabricated assets or depletion and degradation of natural resources. The origin of value added is determined by the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), revision 4. Data are in current U.S. dollars.
