Overview
The hydropower energy consumption in Venezuela in 2024 reached 0.2622 EJ, which is 0.274% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.2615 EJ. It has been growing in this country for already 5 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of hydropower primary energy has increased in 53.20 times. The lowest level of consumption in Venezuela was recorded in 1965, with a value of 0.0049 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from hydropower was in 2008, when it reached 0.3122 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
