The cobalt production of South Africa in 2022 amounted to 250 tons, which is 29.58% less than in 2021, when it was  355 tons. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. According to the British Geological Survey statistics, since 1983, the annual volume of cobalt production has decreased in 1.60 times. The minimum was recorded in 1995, with a value of 190 tons. The maximum mining volume of cobalt in South Africa was in 2010, when it reached 1 680 tons.
