Passenger transportation by air | Zambia – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Zambia in 2021 amounted to 136 610, which is 1466.99% more than in 2020, when it was  8 718 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has decreased in 1.37 times. The lowest number was recorded in 2014, with a value of 8 592 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Zambia was in 1990, when it reached 407 200 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
