Unemployment rate | Zambia – yearly data, chart and table

The unemployment rate in Zambia in 2024 amounted to 5.96% of total labor force. In 2023, the value was  5.91%. This is the first year of growth after a decline. Over the entire period of ILOSTAT data since 1991, this indicator has decreased in 3.17 times. The lowest percentage of unemployed was recorded in 2017, when it was 4.53. The maximum was in 1993, when number of unempoyed persons in Zambia reached 19.70 % of total labor force.
