Overview
Sales of new vehicles in Zambia in 2019 amounted to 3 255, which is 14.48% less than in 2018, when it was 3 806 vehicles. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers statistics, since 2005, the annual volume of new vehicles sales has increased in 1.10 times. The lowest sales were recorded in 2005, with a value of 2 950 number. The maximum was in 2014, when 4 000 cars of all types were sold in Zambia.
